Account Executive Job Description

Tasks:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Identify and qualify potential clients through proactive prospecting, networking, and market research.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
    • Present company products and services to potential clients through meetings, calls, and presentations.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their business objectives.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for client queries and concerns, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups to foster client retention and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
    • Utilise CRM tools to track sales activities, manage leads, and report on sales performance.
    • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitors to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Performance Reporting:
    • Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and key client activities.
    • Analyse sales data and identify areas for improvement to optimise strategies.
    • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing market insights and feedback.
  • Contract & Proposal Management:
    • Draft and manage client contracts and agreements.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to align with company objectives and client expectations.
    • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, Sales Representative, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
