Anti-Slavery Policy

1. Introduction

Omni Talents is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in all aspects of our operations and supply chains. We uphold the highest standards of ethical business conduct and expect the same from our partners, suppliers, and clients. This policy outlines our approach to combat modern slavery and human trafficking, in compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners of Omni Talents. It covers all operations and relationships, including the recruitment and placement of Sri Lankan staff for international businesses.

3. Our Commitment

Omni Talents will:

  • Operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour.
  • Ensure all employees work voluntarily and under fair conditions.
  • Conduct due diligence on recruitment practices to prevent exploitation.
  • Provide fair wages and ensure all staff are paid in accordance with Sri Lankan labour laws.
  • Ensure all employment contracts are legal, transparent, and easily understood by employees.
  • Encourage reporting of unethical practices through a confidential whistleblowing mechanism.

4. Recruitment and Employment Practices

  • All recruitment will be fair, transparent, and free from coercion. No worker will be charged recruitment fees or be placed under debt bondage.
  • Staff will be provided with a written employment contract in their native language before commencing work.
  • No worker will be required to surrender their passport, ID, or work permit to secure employment.
  • Right to Work checks will be conducted to prevent illegal employment practices.
  • No worker will be subject to forced overtime, withholding of wages, or exploitative working conditions.

5. Due Diligence in Supply Chains

Omni Talents will assess suppliers, clients, and business partners to ensure they comply with anti-slavery laws. Our due diligence process includes:

  • Risk assessments of suppliers and clients to identify potential modern slavery risks.
  • Conducting audits, background checks, and compliance reviews before engaging in business relationships.
  • Ensuring that third-party agencies used in recruitment adhere to ethical employment standards.

6. Training and Awareness

  • All staff, including recruitment teams, will receive modern slavery awareness training.
  • Employees will be educated on how to identify and report concerns regarding forced labour and exploitation.
  • Clients and partners will be informed about our anti-slavery commitments and encouraged to uphold similar standards.

7. Whistleblowing and Reporting

Omni Talents encourages the reporting of any suspected modern slavery concerns through:

  • A confidential whistleblowing policy, allowing employees to report concerns without fear of retaliation.
  • Dedicated reporting channels, including an anonymous email and hotline.
  • Immediate investigation of all reports, with appropriate action taken against offenders.

8. Compliance and Monitoring

  • Regular audits and reviews will be conducted to assess compliance with this policy.
  • Any breaches of this policy will result in disciplinary action, termination of business relationships, and reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Senior management will oversee policy implementation and ensure continuous improvement.

9. Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation and best practices.
