AI Solutions Architect Job Description

Tasks:

  • AI Strategy & Solution Design:
    • Develop AI solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.
    • Define AI architecture roadmaps and frameworks for scalable and cost-effective solutions.
    • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand AI use cases and implementation strategies.
    • Design AI models, pipelines, and infrastructure that meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Architecture Development & Implementation:
    • Lead the end-to-end architecture of AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model training, inference, and deployment.
    • Develop scalable and efficient AI models using platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
    • Design and implement cloud-native AI architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
    • Ensure model explainability, fairness, and accountability in AI systems.
  • Model Deployment & Optimisation:
    • Develop strategies for AI model deployment, scaling, and monitoring in production environments.
    • Optimise models for latency, performance, and cost using techniques such as quantisation and pruning.
    • Implement MLOps best practices to streamline AI model lifecycle management.
  • Data Strategy & Governance:
    • Work with data engineers to design and optimise data pipelines for AI model training and inference.
    • Ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
    • Define data storage, retrieval, and processing architectures for AI applications.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement security best practices to protect AI systems and sensitive data.
    • Ensure compliance with AI ethical standards and industry-specific regulations.
    • Define governance frameworks to ensure responsible AI usage within the organisation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with product teams, data scientists, and software engineers to integrate AI capabilities into products.
    • Present AI solution designs and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI trends, technologies, and frameworks to continuously improve AI solutions.
    • Evaluate third-party AI solutions and recommend tools and platforms for business needs.
    • Lead AI proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and guide teams in transitioning to full production.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an AI Solutions Architect, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Keras.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI services, including AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, or Google AI/Vertex AI.
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, and Airflow.
  • Experience in designing scalable microservices architectures for AI deployment (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and ETL pipelines.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of AI model optimisation techniques and distributed computing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
