Product listing specialist Job Description

Tasks:

  • Product Listing Management:
    • Create, edit, and optimise product listings on platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, and others.
    • Ensure all product descriptions, images, and attributes are accurate and aligned with brand guidelines.
    • Upload and maintain product data including pricing, inventory levels, and category assignments.
    • Manage bulk product uploads and updates using CSV files and other data management tools.
  • SEO Optimisation:
    • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to improve product visibility.
    • Optimise titles, descriptions, and backend keywords to enhance search rankings.
    • Monitor listing performance and adjust content to improve organic search results.
  • Content Creation & Enhancement:
    • Write clear, concise, and engaging product descriptions that highlight key features and benefits.
    • Collaborate with the content and design teams to ensure high-quality product images and videos.
    • Develop A+ content (Enhanced Brand Content) for Amazon and other marketplaces to boost conversions.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Regularly audit product listings to ensure consistency and compliance with platform guidelines.
    • Identify and correct errors such as incorrect pricing, missing attributes, and inaccurate descriptions.
    • Monitor competitor listings to stay informed of industry trends and adjust listings accordingly.
  • Inventory Coordination:
    • Work with warehouse and operations teams to ensure stock levels are accurately reflected online.
    • Monitor out-of-stock and discontinued products, updating listings as necessary.
    • Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast inventory needs based on sales trends.
  • Platform Compliance:
    • Ensure listings comply with platform-specific guidelines and policies to avoid penalties or suspension.
    • Stay updated with changes in marketplace algorithms and listing requirements.
    • Resolve any listing issues such as suppressed or deactivated products in a timely manner.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Track and analyse product performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, and conversions.
    • Provide regular reports on listing performance and suggest areas for improvement.
    • Implement strategies to improve click-through rates (CTR) and conversion rates (CVR).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing product listings on eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices for eCommerce product listings.
  • Proficiency in using listing and inventory management tools (e.g., ChannelAdvisor, Linnworks).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to write compelling product descriptions with a customer-first approach.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS for product content formatting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and CSV file management.
